  WHAT IT DOES

  • A rear-facing smart camera actively looks for people, providing real-time monitoring behind the machine.
  • A high-definition, touchscreen display provides the operator with additional views around the machine and engages with the operator when a person is detected behind the machine.
  • The Smart Camera detects people around the machine using an algorithm, without the need for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) wearables.
  • Intelligent alerts notify the operator when people are behind the machine. The frequency and intensity of the visual and audible alarms increases the closer someone gets to the machine.

  HOW IT WORKS

  • A smart camera placed on the rear of the machine differentiates between people and background objects. When people are detected behind the machine, the system triggers a visual and audible alert based on an individual’s proximity.
  • When a person is in the YELLOW zone, the system identifies the detected person on the display, but does not provide an audible alert.
  • When a person is in the ORANGE zone, the system identifies the detected person on the display and provides an intermittent audible alert.
  • When a person is in the RED zone, the system identifies the detected person on the display and provides a solid, audible alert.
  • All people detected on the display are identified by a red box.

  DISPLAY ALERTS

  • The system detects personnel in a wider field of view than is shown on the display.
  • Visual alerts indicate a person in the off-display zones.
  • When a person is in the off-display zone, the system will provide red or yellow on-screen indicator bars based on proximity to the machine.

  INSTALLATION

      
  • The complete system includes one smart camera, one high-definition, touchscreen display and wiring harnesses to connect the two.

      

  • The Smart Camera system can be installed on any machine with a 12V or 24V system — including mixed fleets.
