Getting to the Event

No transportation is needed between the hotel and the competition venue. The Hilton Des Moines Downtown is directly connected to the Iowa Events Center through the enclosed, climate-controlled Des Moines Skywalk system, so attendees can walk from their room to the event floor in about a minute without stepping outside — a welcome perk in February. Simply follow the skywalk signage from the hotel’s second level to the Iowa Events Center; competition activities are in Event Hall C on Level 2, and the Awards Ceremony will be held in Ballroom B on Level 4.

Attendees who drive can self-park at the Hilton (currently $30 per night with in-and-out privileges), or use the Iowa Events Center lots with entrances off 3rd Street and 5th Avenue ($13 per day). Several City of Des Moines parking garages are also connected to the venue via skywalk and can be reserved through the ParkDSM app.
