Technology Training
Our technology classes are led by Ziegler expert technology and support professionals. Classes cover everything from GPS basics to advanced software systems to give you a thorough understanding of the solutions available.
Ziegler can provide custom training to fit your specific needs throughout the year. If you have a computer and internet access, you can receive custom training from a Ziegler Technology Specialist online. This can be one-on-one training or for a group. We also have the ability to work with you in the field by accessing your controller through the internet. We can watch you work and give you feedback as if we were with you in the field.

Drone Workflow in Your Business
How to use drones to perform accurate site/stockpile calculations. We will cover drone flight, flight plan setup, and what to do with the data you collect.

Earthworks Operator Training
Operational training for Trimble’s next generation machine control platform, Trimble Earthworks. In this course we will cover everything from loading files to system operation.
Recommended attendees: Machine operators using Trimble Earthworks on dozer or excavator.

GCS900 Operator Training
Instruction on how to operate Trimble’s GCS900 legacy machine control system.

GPS Machine Troubleshooting
Instruction for company mechanics and technicians, focused on troubleshooting and diagnosing GPS issues.
Recommended attendees: Company technicians and shop personnel responsible for mechanic work on machines.

GPS Site Setup Basics
Class will cover the process on how to set up a site from start to finish with Siteworks, Trimble’s newest site controller system. We will look at loading designs files, setting up the equipment, and site calibration.
Recommended attendees: Field personnel responsible for setting a site up for Machine Control

Intelligent Compaction
Overview of the process for using GPS instrumented rollers to collect data throughout asphalt compaction jobs. This course will cover everything from preparing site files, connecting to the VRS network, file synchronization and management, and daily check-in of IC equipped rollers.
Recommended Attendees: GPS Champions and field personnel assisting with the setup and supervision of jobs requiring the use of Intelligent Compaction.

Intro to UTS
Instruction on the daily setup, calibration, and basic functions of Trimble Total Stations with an introduction to UTS uses in Machine Control.
Recommended attendees: Field personnel who use UTS on site

Trimble SCS900
Instruction on both the basic and advanced features of Trimble’s legacy rover software SCS900. Course will cover everything from basic setup and calibration to advanced staking and design creation in the field.
Class material requires SCS900 version 3.0 or higher with the Advanced
Measurement Module.Recommended attendees: Field personnel running Trimble SCS900

Trimble Siteworks - Advanced
This course will cover the advanced functions of the new Trimble Siteworks rover software. An emphasis will be put on advanced staking, design building in the field, and Advanced Measurement module functions.
Class material requires Trimble’s Siteworks software v1.00 or higher
Recommended attendees: Experienced field personnel who conduct site layout.
