A: Caterpillar® offers six models of mini hydraulic excavators ranging from 1.5 to 5 tons (weight of machine). Three of the models offer a compact radius design to keep the upper housing from swinging over the width of the track. This is key in tight areas and when working next to buildings or walls. Dig depth ranges from 7 to 13 feet.
