Q: What file types does the Trimble SCS900 work with?
A:
The data type requirements are very simple. Trimble SCS900 uses either DXF (AutoCAD exchange format) or CSV (comma separated ASCII values) files.
Lines can be defined within a DXF file and are used for a foreground (pick the line to follow or stake) or a background (just a visual reference) map that is displayed on the color screen of the data collector.
Control points can be taken from CSV files.
Stakeout points can be taken from either DXF or CSV files.
Surface models can be received from DXF 3D face files or TTM (Trimble terrain model) files. Surfaces can also be computed using 3D points and lines found within a DXF file.
Trimble SCS900 is compatible with Trimble office software products including Trimble Geomatics Office, SiteVision Office, Sitework, and Terramodel.
